Frank Bradshaw - a qualified Archery Instructor - holds a weekly session at Great Chart on Tuesday mornings about 10:00.
Frank reports that he has a dedicated following of 3-4 Archers who are doing very well, most hit the target 70% of the time - other times the greenkeeper has an interested look on his face! (Are they trying to use our Pitch and Putters group as targets??) The group are now into mini competitions the loser pays for the coffee. It has been reported to the club ( LenARA) that a new range is going to be built and the equipment, bows, arrows and the like are to be updated.
A Pitch and Putt session is held most weeks at Great Chart Golf Club starting at around 10:30. Play is of a "relaxed" standard, is not taken too seriously and gives good golfers a laugh. Cost for us oldies is £3 for a round which includes fishing time for lost balls. Reasonably priced light refreshments are often taken after the round. John will organise/guide a 4.5 mile walk on 27th November from Lenham Square starting 10:00.
