Pat and Derek Highsted arrange a monthly 10 pin bowls session on the second wednesday of each month at the Whitstable bowling alley which starts at 11am. Pat also arranges a pensioners sit down Fish and Chip meal in a local (Tankerton) shop for the survivors. Please arrange with Pat if you want to play and eat afterwards.
There is usually a further 10 pin bowls session on a Friday morning towards the end of each month held at the Bowling Alley in King Street Maidstone. Again please contact Pat/Derek if you wish to join in, but dont hold out too much hope for December!?
These activities, that started in the new year of 2011, have proved very popular and members are enjoying a social afternoon while also learning new sports. Due to the popularity we are now holding both bowling and kurling every week instead of alternate weeks as before.
We start at 2pm and play until 4.30pm with a break for tea. The cost is £2. When you arrive you decide which activity you would like to play as we can mix and match the equipment according to choice.
