Welcome to the Len Valley Active Retirement Association (LenARA) and its website. LenARA is one of approximately 80 similar clubs run under the auspices of the Kent Active Retirement Association - KentARA.
The "Future Events" button on the left lists currently organised trips to London Theatres, Short Break holidays (UK and Europe) and other special events.
Outdoor activities include Pitch & Putt, Archery and Walks. Indoors we have regular Ten Pin Bowling, Short Mat Bowls, Curling, Keep Fit and Line Dancing. Last but not least are monthly Pub Lunches as selectable on the left.
Please note that Members are asked to attend monthly meetings when possible to keep in touch, get club news and enjoy presentations by guest speakers.
Membership of LenARA is open to all of 50 years old or more living in the Len Valley area(Charing to Hollingbourne). If you want to find out more please email lenvalleyara@yahoo.co.uk Please note that there might be a waiting list to gain new membership.
For the Jubilee Celebrations in June 2012 the committee are looking for photographs of LenARA members from the 1950’s to put on display. If you can help all contributions will be gratefully received. Please put your name and address on the back and the photos will be returned to you.

We had a most enjoyable and succesful day at the Ten Pin bowling competition in Gravesend on 4th November. We entered five teams and did very well Out of 36 teams from various other ARA's, In all we collected one 1st prize, two 2nds, a 4th and a 5th in our catagories. The winning team were Vic Robinson, Cathy Evans and Bill Taylor. So CONGRATULATIONS to all who took part. And because we did so well we now have the honour of organising and running the competition next year. Looking forward to the challenge.
